Where can you get a certified translation in Sacramento?

Checked , based on justice.gov (opens in a new tab)

We are in Roseville, about 20 miles from downtown Sacramento, and work online: you send photos of the documents, we send the certified translation by email. No need to come to an office. It costs $25 for the first page and $20 for each additional one; a paper copy signed in ink comes by mail for $20. We translate for USCIS, the Sacramento Immigration Court, the DMV and other offices in the area.

How it works without an office visit

  1. Send photos or scans of every page with text or stamps, by WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS or email. The original stays with you.
  2. Get the price and the date within 15 minutes during our working hours.
  3. Pay and receive your translation by email: one PDF with the original, the translation and the signed certificate. If you need it on paper, we mail a copy signed in ink.

If an office asks for a paper copy signed in ink, order it with the translation.

Where translations are filed in the Sacramento area

What to file in your case is for you or your attorney to decide.

Documents we see most often from the Sacramento area

The Sacramento region has a large community of people from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova, and many of their documents are Soviet: certificates filled in by hand, military IDs, work record books, bilingual Belarusian and Ukrainian forms. We translate every handwritten line and stamp; see handwritten Soviet documents and Belarusian documents.

Price

$25 for the first page of up to 250 words and $20 for each additional page. Paper copy by mail: $20. Faster, a surcharge for each page: $15 within 12 hours, $30 within 3 hours; we confirm a rush order before you pay. No extra charge for stamps, handwriting or weekends.

What we don’t do: immigration advice, or certification for California state courts and county clerks, which needs a court-certified translator.

Questions

Can I bring the documents to you in person?

We work online: photos or scans are enough, and the original stays with you. If you need a paper copy signed in ink, we mail it for $20.

Do I need a notarized translation for the Sacramento USCIS office?

No. USCIS asks for a full translation with the translator’s signed certification, and it is included. A notary is not part of the USCIS rule.
